Mike J. Baldauff is a registered patent attorney with over 14 years of experience. Mr. Baldauff has extensive experience serving clients worldwide, focusing his practice on portfolio development and management; intellectual property mining and mapping; patent preparation and prosecution; and working with clients to develop intellectual property protection and licensing strategies.

Mr. Baldauff has successfully represented U.S. and international clients in procuring hundreds of patents in various mechanical, computer hardware and software, and business method technologies. Mr. Baldauff has substantial experience in drafting and prosecuting patents encompassing aerospace and avionics systems, propulsion systems, fuel systems, composite materials and structures, military and protective systems, solar and electrical power generation and storage technologies, electrical devices and systems, heat exchangers, manufacturing equipment and tooling, automotive technologies, medical devices, consumer products, and telecommunication systems.

Mr. Baldauff received his J.D., with honors, in 2003 from Georgia State University and a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering in 1994 from the University of Florida.

Prior to attending law school, Mr. Baldauff worked as an engineer for ConAgra Foods, Inc. He additionally gained hands-on technical experience, as well as extensive leadership experience, as an Aircraft Maintenance Officer in the U.S. Air Force, where he led mechanics, electricians, and avionics systems specialists in troubleshooting and maintaining F-15 aircraft.

After law school, Mr. Baldauff trained as an associate at one of the nation’s leading intellectual property law firms, Merchant & Gould. Later in his career, Mr. Baldauff was a partner at another leading national law firm focusing on intellectual property, Lee & Hayes. In addition to his large law firm experience, Mr. Baldauff co-founded and practiced intellectual property law at Hope Baldauff and practiced law as a solo practitioner at Baldauff IP. His experience and leadership at both large intellectual property law firms and smaller boutique and solo practices results in an extensive knowledge of intellectual property issues and the expertise to assist clients with identifying and protecting their most valuable assets.

Mr. Baldauff is registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and is admitted to practice law in Georgia.
