Jacob Harcrow

Jacob Harcrow is a registered patent attorney and focuses his practice on preparing and prosecuting patent applications covering innovative computer systems and mechanical inventions. He also assists clients in in obtaining trademark protection for their names, logos, and other marketing devices.

Prior to joining Brient IP Law, Mr. Harcrow worked as an associate at Fish & Richardson in Atlanta. While in law school, Mr. Harcrow worked as a patent agent, and then as an associate, for Taylor English Duma in Atlanta.

Mr. Harcrow’s practice includes drafting and prosecuting U.S. and foreign patent applications, and in advising clients on patent and trademark related matters. A significant part of his practice involves drafting and analyzing patent applications in matters related to complex mechanical, electrical, computer architecture, search engines, application indexing, cloud computing, logistical based services, and virtual machines, among others. Mr. Harcrow also has experience in helping clients protect their intellectual property through design patents, trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets.

Previously, Mr. Harcrow served as a Congressional Intern for U.S. Congressman Tom Price. Through his course work, Mr. Harcrow has gained valuable software experience, which includes different programming languages such as Visual Basic for Application, Java, and C++.

Mr. Harcrow received his J.D. from the University of Georgia School of Law, and a Bachelor of Science in Industrial & Systems Engineering, cum laude, from Auburn University. Mr. Harcrow is registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office, and is admitted to practice law in Georgia.
